Adam Goldstein "DJ AM" RIP. 8/28/09
On Friday at around 5:20, DJ AM was found dead in his NYC apartment. He was only 36 years old. After friends calling him and him not answering, they called the police and found his dead. They police said that there had been no sign of foul play. DJ AM had admitted to doing crack cocaine and ecstasy in the past, but claimed to have been drug free for years. He was a major DJ for all the hot Hollywood parties. Almost a year ago DJ AM and Travis Barker the drummer for Blink 182 were in a server plane crash in South Carolina. Luckily they both survived with some major injures. DJ AM went on to say "I can't believe I made it," he said. "I've prayed every night for the past 10 years. There's a lot more to thank God for now. ... I was saved for a reason. Maybe I'm going to help someone else. I don't question it. All I know is I'm thankful to be here." -DJ AM. This is a huge loss for everyone. He will always been remembered for keeping the parties going and playing good music. RIP DJ AM.

"Mohawk Haircut"
I think that the "Mohawk haircut" should not be a big deal. Students should be able to show either school spirit or their individuality. Fashion has changed so much during the years that it seems like so many people are rocking Mohawks that it is not a shocker anymore to see teenagers or young adults walking around with them. So personally I think that the Mohawk haircut should be allowed for kids to show who they are. It isn't distracting, students aren't going to make a big deal about students having Mohawks.
"Flu bug hits local schools"
In Muscogee county at least three school have reported that at least 10% of their students are getting sick, many have been having flu symptoms. Blackmon Road has a total of 804 students on a normal day, on Monday 10 % of their students were absent. Same goes for Richards Middle and Midland Middle School. Pat Patterson a pharmacist at Wal-Mart said "We are seeing more and more cases earlier than usual be it the flu or some kind of other infection." Most schools are saying to stay home if you aren't feeling well at all so that other students will not catch it and the staff will not get it either.
